BWCCS2 is more than just school. We’re a holistic community built on a foundation of love. Our students cultivate a deep sense of ownership and responsibility for themselves, their families and our community.

Edwin Santiago II

At BwCCS 2 Middle, we believe in establishing a school family where everyone has a sense of belonging. Our overarching goal is to create a collaborative community that prepares the whole child for a life of leadership and service beyond the classroom.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CO-PRINCIPALS

At the Middle School level, we know that students are beginning to establish their confidence and identity. We are here to help them during this transitional period. At BwCCS 2 we have created an environment of caring, understanding, and respect for one and all.

We want our students to be prepared for their future, determined to succeed, inquisitive about all aspects of life, show respect for themselves and others, and enjoy the processes of learning. We want our children to be passionate about making our school, our city, and our world a better place that respects the differences that make us unique while also acknowledging the many elements that make us the same.

BwCCS 2 has had a strong track record of academic success since opening in 2012. Most notably, we were recognized as a New York State High Performing Reward School for outstanding achievement in Math and English Language Arts, one of only 63 New York City schools — out of nearly 2,000! — to receive this prestigious distinction.

We believe that it takes a village to take care of and raise our children and create a loving and caring atmosphere for them. We have strong ties with our families and community. We firmly believe that we are teammates in the education of each and every child, and we remain thankful that we have such a committed group of parents, families, teachers, and staff who will do whatever it takes to support our school community.

Our doors are always open for a tour and a conversation. We can’t wait to meet you!

Best Regards,

Edwin Santiago II & Eloise Cummings
